Before founding Freight Tiger, Swapnil Shah played a key role in the turnaround of Dana Holding Corporation, a Fortune 500 company with $6 billion in revenue. There, he worked closely with the Private Equity investor, Centerbridge Partners, and the executive committee of the company to achieve one of the most successful turnarounds in the US automotive industry.

Prior to working at Dana, Swapnil was with Caterpillar Inc, where he helped set up two services businesses in logistics and remanufacturing for external clients. At Caterpillar Logistics, he led an effort to launch Toyota Production System through Lean 6 Sigma to achieve operations excellence at various logistics facilities of automotive companies such as Saab/GM, Nissan and Mercedes Benz in the US and Mexico.

Swapnil started his career as a research engineer solving surface engineering and tribology problems at Caterpillar’s Technical Center.
